ICCI Welcomes SICCI Delegation for a Day of Industrial Visits and India–Italy Business Dialogue
Representatives from Southern India’s automotive and mechanical sectors explored Italian industrial expertise, experienced “Made in Italy” hospitality, and met with institutional and business leaders.
On September 14, 2026, the Indian Chamber of Commerce in Italy (ICCI) hosted a delegation from the Southern India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) as part of a program focused on industrial excellence and opportunities for cooperation between India and Italy.
The delegation, representing the automotive and mechanical sectors, began the day with visits to the Dallara Academy and the Dallara Factory. The program offered participants insight into Italian automotive engineering and manufacturing expertise, providing a practical setting for exploring shared industrial interests.
The delegation then proceeded to Fidenza Village, which sponsored the event and welcomed participants to an experience that brought together Italian hospitality, fashion, and culinary traditions. The visit complemented the industrial program by providing a broader introduction to “Made in Italy” and the country’s distinctive lifestyle offerings.
The day concluded at the Consulate General of India in Milan with an institutional and business meeting attended by H.E. Ms. Vani Rao, Ambassador of India to Italy, and Shri Lavanya Kumar, Consul General of India in Milan. Representatives from SICCI, ICCI, the Indian Business Forum of Italy (IBF), PRAXI, and Kothari Industrial Corporation Limited (KICL) also participated.
Presentations and discussions provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives, share business experience, and explore potential areas of cooperation between the Indian and Italian business communities. The meeting added an institutional dimension to a program focused on building relationships and developing a deeper understanding of each other’s markets.
ICCI extends its sincere appreciation to PRAXI Alliance and Sai Subramanian of the International Operations, India Desk, for connecting the Chamber with SICCI and helping lay the groundwork for this exchange. Special thanks also go to Fidenza Village for its sponsorship and hospitality, and to all speakers, partners, and participants for their contributions.
The initiative reflects ICCI’s commitment to facilitating direct exchanges between Indian and Italian companies and strengthening the business and institutional relationships that support bilateral cooperation.
