ICCI and Confapi Sign a Memorandum of Understanding to Support Business Cooperation Between Italy and India

The agreement establishes a framework for closer business ties, with a particular focus on the internationalization of SMEs, trade, and industrial partnerships.

The Indian Chamber of Commerce in Italy (ICCI) and Confapi have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen cooperation between the Italian and Indian business communities and support companies in exploring opportunities in both markets.

The agreement was signed by Vincenzo Elifani, Confapi’s Delegate for Relations with Italian Chambers of Commerce Abroad, and Marco Bettin, Vice President of ICCI. It provides a structured framework for collaboration between the two organizations, laying the groundwork for joint initiatives in trade, investment, and industrial cooperation.

A central focus of the partnership is the growth and internationalization of small and medium-sized enterprises. SMEs play a fundamental role in both economies, and access to business networks, market knowledge, and reliable partners is essential to their international development.

Through the MoU, ICCI and Confapi will promote closer interaction between their respective networks, facilitate the exchange of knowledge and expertise, and encourage commercial and industrial collaboration. The partnership aims to help companies establish international connections and develop lasting business relationships.

For ICCI, the agreement reinforces its commitment to helping businesses access new markets and strengthening economic ties between Italy and India. Collaborating with Confapi provides an opportunity to connect more Italian SMEs with the Indian business community and foster dialogue on shared commercial interests.

ICCI looks forward to translating the agreement into initiatives that contribute to the growth of SMEs and strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
