ICCI Participates in the Italy–India Business Forum in Brescia
On 5 June, the Indian Chamber of Commerce in Italy (ICCI) took part in the Italy–India Business Forum in Brescia, a key follow-up to the India–Italy Summit held in New Delhi on 10 April. ICCI was represented by Secretary General Luciano Pettoello Mantovani and Advisory Board Member Ash Gujral, reaffirming the Chamber’s commitment to strengthening bilateral engagement between the two countries.
The Forum, co-chaired by Hon. Antonio Tajani, Vice President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy, and Hon. Piyush Goyal, India’s Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, brought together institutions, industry leaders, and business representatives to discuss the next phase of India–Italy cooperation.
High on the agenda were strategic themes shaping the future of the partnership: the advancement of the India–Middle East–Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC), progress on the EU–India Free Trade Agreement, and the growing importance of technology exchange and industrial collaboration. Special attention was given to opportunities in agrifood, food processing, and machinery—areas where Italian expertise aligns closely with India’s industrial priorities. Another key point of discussion was the proposal for a fully Italian industrial enclave in India, a project that could significantly deepen industrial integration.
Throughout the day, ICCI representatives engaged with prominent Indian industry figures, Italian companies, and public institutions interested in exploring the Indian market. These exchanges further highlighted the strong momentum behind bilateral business interest and the increasing appetite for collaborative ventures.
The Forum also offered an opportunity to meet several ICCI and CLUBASIA members and partners present in Brescia, reinforcing the sense of community and shared mission that drives the Chamber’s work.
As the economic relationship between Italy and India continues to expand, ICCI remains committed to supporting institutional initiatives, promoting new opportunities for commercial cooperation, and acting as a trusted bridge between businesses in both countries.
